Most transcriptions are completed within 5-10 minutes, regardless of file length. Processing time may vary based on file size and current demand.

How does pay-as-you-go pricing work?
Purchase the credits you need and use them whenever you like—credits never expire. Credits power both transcription and transcript chat prompts today. We’re introducing optional subscriptions for heavier chat usage soon, but credits will remain the foundation of billing.
How much does transcription cost?
Transcription costs approximately $0.15 per minute of audio. For example, a 1-hour podcast would cost about $9 to transcribe. You can see exact credit costs before processing.
Do I get free credits to try the service?
Yes! New users receive 30 free credits to test our transcription service. This covers about 20-30 minutes of audio transcription at no cost.
Can I get refunds for unused credits?
Credits are non-refundable but never expire. You can use them anytime for future transcription projects. We offer this policy to keep costs low for all users.

What is NotlyAI Chat and will it require a subscription?
NotlyAI Chat lets you ask questions about your transcripts, generate summaries, and extract insights. Each prompt currently uses credits. We are building optional subscriptions that bundle more chat usage and convenience features—credits will still power each prompt even after subscriptions launch.
What export formats are available?
You can export transcripts as plain text (TXT), Microsoft Word documents (DOCX), or subtitle files (SRT) for video captions. All formats preserve speaker identification and timestamps.
Can I edit the transcript after processing?
Yes, you can edit transcripts directly in our web interface. Make corrections, add notes, or adjust speaker labels before exporting to your preferred format.
